TK YONG

Managing Director

TK has built a reputation in the construction industry for finishing the job on time. With over $300 million worth of projects completed to date, TK understands the key to timely project delivery is working closely with main contractors to identify and solve any obstacles encountered.

 

TK started his career as a Project Manager for a major developer, gaining 15 years of experience before shifting his focus to subcontracting. He has since developed a large and highly skilled workforce, overseen by a dedicated and experienced management team. With TK’s leadership, Livefirm is now one of the most sought-after major subcontractors in the market.

AULFON has been established to take this experience and these capabilities into the residential market, delivering high-quality homes for New Zealanders, built with the backing of Livefirm.

JACKY WONG

Construction Director

Jacky’s skills and experience in high-level planning and effective resource management are essential for smooth project delivery. These efficiencies result in time and cost savings, minimising variations and maximising job satisfaction for his clients and colleagues.

With 19 years in the industry as a qualified Quantity Surveyor, Jacky has the experience from the work site crucial for success in his role as Construction Director. He has managed more than 50 projects with their cumulative total value now exceeding $200 million.

FREDERICK CHUA

Director

As General Manager, Frederick ensures AULFON is equipped with the right people and the right tools for the job. Having the appropriate talent and resources ensures AULFON delivers projects efficiently and coupled with Frederick’s strengthening of internal controls, this has geared the company for high-growth. This integration of effective risk management with strong and stable growth is a key offering of AULFON’s, driven by Frederick.

A Certified Internal Auditor (CIA®) and Certified Risk Manager (CRMA®), Frederick sharpened his skills in every aspect of management while previously serving eight years as General Manager for a publicly listed company. Specialising in financial controlling, internal control, and risk management, Frederick has brought these skills to drive AULFON forwards.

Kim Yung Leong

General Manager

Quantity Surveying and Business Marketing qualifications has enabled Kim to build a global management career in commercial construction and materials.

 

Kim’s leadership skills were identified early, earning him a reputation for delivering optimal results on multi-million-dollar projects with a motivated team.  His legacy of delivering sustainable growth and profit whilst navigating challenging market pressures is down to his people skills as much as his astute commercial skills.

VINCENT LIU

Construction Manager - Residential

Born and raised in Shen Yang City in China, Vincent came to New Zealand in 2010 and has been working in the construction industry for 9 years. He is a carpenter by trade and is a Licensed Building Practitioner holding a Carpentry license.

Vincent prides himself on paying close attention to the quality and efficiency of work, in order to ensure projects meet a high standard for clients. His team is highly motivated and Vincent works closely with his supervisor, designers, engineers, employees, and others. He holds regular meetings, giving his team opportunities to propose ideas and suggestions for continual improvement.

He loves his job and believes that the biggest gains are made by supporting others.

SOPHIA CHIEW

Commercial Manager

Sophia’s proactive, resilient, and adaptable approach to project management utilises 11 years of experience in cost planning, management, quantity surveying, and contract administration. She has been involved in construction projects across Malaysia, Singapore, and New Zealand, ranging from small to large scale, and economical to high-end developments.

 

Sophia’s ability to identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks, as well as proposing cost-effective solutions while achieving initial project objectives, highlight her value as our Commercial Manager.

SATISH PREMA

Project Manager - Commercial

Born and raised in New Zealand, Satish brings his kiwi ingenuity along with his big personality to drive his projects to succeed and ensure client expectations are exceeded. He is a proven achiever, results driven with a commitment to quality projects and relationship management. He works closely with the designers and his site teams to ensure they receive the support and information they need to get projects delivered with minimal setbacks.

 

Satish has been in the construction industry for over 12 years and has been working in the commercial scene for over 10 years. He is a carpenter by trade and is a Licensed Building Practitioner holding both Carpentry and Site licenses.

DAVID WANG

Project Manager & Quantity Surveyor

With ten years of experience in quantity surveying and project management, David has broad experience and knowledge of New Zealand’s building industry and steel construction industry. David’s degree in Land Planning and diploma in Quantity Surveying laid the foundations for a thriving career, which has grown due to his well-organised and highly motivated approach to work. His excellent communication and team work skills make him a valuable member of the team.

MATHEW ROBERTSON

Quality Assurance / Health & Safety Manager

Mathew is passionate for projects to meet the highest standards of quality and safety, commitments which he understands are crucial for the success of the construction industry.

Born in New Zealand and raised in California, Mathew’s career started early with experience in family-owned property development businesses. He built on these foundations, working across the United States and now in New Zealand. With his leadership skills in his role as Quality Assurance and Health & Safety Manager, Mathew has made it his mission to ensure safe working environments and the best commercial quality standards for every project.

VILIKESA MAILE

Project  Director

With decades of experience in the construction industry, Vili leads a skilled team to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget. Vili’s role as Project Director recognises his comprehensive understanding of the work, including the role each member of his team plays in delivering successful projects. He has built this knowledge right from the start of his career, launched by attaining his degree in Construction Management, before working as a Foreman and progressing to Site Manager, Senior Project Manager, and now Project Director.

 

Vili excels in his engagement with clients, consultants, and contractors, identifying and effectively resolving any site issues. This commitment is proven in his management of projects with their cumulative total value now exceeding $500 million.

BOON CHEZ LIM

Project Engineer

Boon’s experience and strong attention to detail make him an asset for planning and resolving any problems on site. Boon has spent over six years utilising this expertise in New Zealand, as well as developing excellent communication skills which he employs when engaging with clients and design teams to discuss issues and ensure expectations are met.

Prior to his work in New Zealand, Boon spent 13 years developing his capabilities in Singapore’s construction industry, working his way up from Site Engineer to Project Manager. Work on high-rises, some exceeding 28-storeys, accelerated the development of Boon’s management skills to ensure contractual deadlines were met. These skills have set Boon up well to deliver efficiencies, supporting the main contractor’s construction programme and providing great engineering value.
